This completely renovated lake house is situated on a private cove on Douglas Lake and fully loaded w/premium amenities, high-end fixtures, and thoughtful touches to make your vacation a relaxing retreat. It sleeps up to 12 guests and includes (seasonal) lake access, a game room with a large theater-style TV, pool table, arcades, and a private poker room. It also includes multiple fireplaces, outdoor decks with firepits, a premium hot tub, and complete privacy!

🏕️ THE HOUSE
Welcome to Blue Iris, a completely renovated luxury lakefront retreat nestled along the shores of Douglas Lake in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. Thoughtfully redesigned with all new high-end furnishings, stylish finishes, and premium touches throughout, this upscale getaway blends modern mountain elegance with unforgettable lakefront living. Expansive windows frame beautiful seasonal lake views while filling the home with natural light. The open-concept main level features a stunning floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, designer furnishings, a fully equipped modern kitchen, and a spacious dining and living area perfect for gathering. The main level also includes a luxurious king suite with a private bathroom, along with an additional half bath just off the kitchen.

Upstairs, guests will find another beautifully designed master suite with a private full bathroom. Connected to the suite is a fun-filled bunk room featuring two Queen-over-Queen bunks, arcade games, and a Smart TV, creating the perfect space for kids and groups to relax after a day on the lake.

The lower level was designed for entertainment and relaxation, featuring a large game room with arcade games, pool table, large theater-style TV, and a private poker room for memorable nights with friends and family. Two additional bedrooms are also located on this level. Step outside to experience the home’s incredible outdoor living spaces, complete with all new luxury patio furniture, multiple seating areas, a large hot tub overlooking the lake, string lights, and a wood-burning firepit perfect for evenings under the stars. Guests can enjoy both a gas grill and charcoal grill for outdoor cooking, along with direct lake access via private steps leading to the dock and water. Kayaks are also provided so you can fully experience the beauty and serenity of Douglas Lake right from your backyard.

🛌 SLEEPING:
* Bedroom #1 (Main Level): Indulge in the luxury of a spacious master bedroom suite featuring a new king-sized bed, smart TV, stone gas fireplace (seasonal) and direct outdoor patio access. The bedroom has an attached full bathroom with a large walk-in shower and walk-in closet.
* Bedrooms #2 & #3 (Upper Level): There are two additional spacious bedrooms upstairs. The primary master suite features a king-sized bed, plenty of storage space, a private outdoor balcony overlooking the lake and an attached full bathroom (with shower). There is a bunkbed room attached to the bedroom with additional sleeping space for up to 8 guests. The bunk room also includes a Smart TV and arcade games. There is a door separating the two bedrooms.
* Bedrooms #4 & #5 (Lower Level): There are two full bedrooms located on the lower level, one on each side. Each room features a king-sized bed, dresser, and large Smart TV. Bedroom #4 includes an attached full bathroom. Bedroom #5 has a full bathroom located just outside the door and can also be used as the common bathroom for the game room area.

Enjoy the state-of-the-art luxury kitchen complete with a full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, gas range, microwave, and a full suite of appliances - a dream for any aspiring chef. Equipped with cookware, glassware, plates, and silverware. The kitchen features a spacious countertop island bar area with seating, and an adjacent new dining table.

The last mile+ to get to the house is gravel but is easily accessible.
The parking area is flat. There is plenty of parking for 6 vehicles.

* This property has an outside security camera facing the driveway/entrance.
* Maximum occupancy is 12 guests.

* The lake water level is intentionally lowered for the winter months with it increasing again in the Spring. Guests staying during the winter months will only experience a partially full Douglas Lake. The cove where the house is located may have very low water levels. You will not be able to access the water during these months.

* We are unable to offer refunds due to weather or weather-related conditions, power outages, road conditions, or acts of God. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances. Four-wheel drive is recommended in winter conditions.

* We are unable to provide a late check-out without written approval. If a guest does not vacate the property by 10AM on their scheduled day of departure, the fee for failing to vacate is $100.00 for each half hour that the guest fails to vacate the property.

* All guests are required to review and sign a waiver before accessing the property.

"We had a wonderful stay at the cabin! It has the most gorgeous view, and stylish interior! The place is cozy, very well stocked, the beds are so comfortable and everything is super clean! We loved how secluded it is but still very close to stores, restaurants and attractions. We loved sitting around the fire at night and having coffee in the morning on the patio looking over the lake! We can not wait to be back!

"Just had the BEST weekend at this lake house and honestly already trying to figure out when we can come back. This property is truly one of a kind — completely secluded, surrounded by water, and somehow even more beautiful in person. The house itself feels so luxurious but still incredibly cozy. The beds and sheets were unreal… like melt-into-them comfortable. We spent most of our time hanging out on the patio furniture overlooking the water, and the sunsets every night were absolutely incredible. The dock was one of our favorite parts — perfect for relaxing during the day and taking in the views. The house also had several kayaks and paddle boards that we loved using all weekend, which made the whole experience even better. It felt like there was always something to do while still being peaceful and relaxing at the same time. Even though you feel completely secluded and surrounded by nature, all the amenities you need plus restaurants and shopping are only about 15 minutes away, which made it the perfect balance of private and convenient. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, entertain, and just enjoy being together without ever feeling crowded. It’s one of those places that makes you instantly slow down and relax the second you arrive. Truly one of the best weekends we’ve had in a long time.

"I feel like some Airbnb‘s are always a hit or miss and this one was definitely a hit. We went on a bachelor trip in the middle of December for a few days and absolutely loved it. So much so instead of going out to any bars or restaurants, we brought food in, played poker, pool, and watched football. Tons of space! There were seven guys total and we still had a bed left over if we had needed it. It is secluded and in an open area once you get to the property. But it was still close enough to go out to eat or go pick something up if we wanted it. The house was in immaculate shape when we got there and everything is laid out. Thank you, Jen and Mike for a great trip!!

"Relaxing and peaceful escape! If you are looking for a quiet getaway with a true backwoods feel, this is the one. The long gravel road provides amazing privacy. House has too many amenities to list. Our favorite parts were game room and fire pit.

"Mike and Jen’s place was absolutely gorgeous. It had beautiful views and plenty of space for our group of 7. We brought some games with us, but they had a large selection to choose from as well. Everything was as described in the listing, I would definitely recommend this stay if you’re looking for a cabin trip with friends and family. They offered recommendations for the local area and were always responsive of any questions that we had. Cannot recommend them enough!
