Rising Bear Retreat is a cozy Smoky Mountain cabin located in the popular Chalet Village area of Gatlinburg! Surrounded by all of the activities of the Smokies, the cabin is centrally located near all the attractions and restaurants for you and your family to enjoy. It is the perfect place to enjoy a mountain getaway while being close to all the attractions and entertainment of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park!

🏕️ THE CABIN:
This one bedroom chalet is located right off Ski Mountain road! The cozy living room is clean and inviting, with comfortable seating, a flat-screen TV, a stone fireplace and large windows. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, including a full-sized refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen and has a separate dining table. The cabin has one bedroom with a comfortable king bed, Smart TV and plenty of storage space. The upstairs loft area includes a bumper pool table for hours of fun as well as an indoor sauna!

Outside, you'll love spending time on the deck enjoying the fresh mountain air. The hot tub is also located on the privacy of your deck and is a great place to relax after a fun day of hiking and adventure. The deck has plenty of seating to relax in the morning with a cup of coffee or unwind in the evening with a glass of wine. A BBQ grill is also available to take advantage of a cookout while taking in the beautiful views!

Fully equipped kitchen location on the main level. The kitchen includes a full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, microwave, and a full suite of appliances perfect for making any type of meals throughout your stay! The cabin includes pots, pans, glasses, plates, silverware, etc. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen and has a small dining table.

Free parking for up to 2 cars. The driveway is fairly steep and up a hill.
If you have 2 vehicles, we recommend backing each vehicle in once you get to the parking area at the top.

Guests can access the entire cabin with the exception of the owner's closet.

We are available if you have any questions or concerns. We can be reached via Airbnb messenger.

* Quiet hours are 11pm-7am.
* Maximum occupancy is 4 guests.
* There is a strict no-smoking policy.
* There is a strict no-pet policy.
* We provide a starter set of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, soaps/shampoos, and detergent. If you have a large group or are staying for an extended period, you may need to purchase (or bring) additional items.
* The fireplace is unavailable April 1st - October 1st (Standard for cabins in the area)

* We have partnered with BabyQuip - the #1 baby equipment rental service and marketplace. BabyQuip offers rentals for your trip, including Cribs, Strollers, High Chairs, Toys/Games, Bouncers, Health and Safety Items, Outdoor Items, and More! Our local rep, Kelly, would be happy to connect you with any items you may need during your stay! Ask us for more information!

* We are unable to offer refunds due to weather or weather-related conditions, power outages, road conditions, or acts of God. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances. Four-wheel drive is recommended in winter conditions.

* We are unable to provide a late check-out without written approval. If a guest does not vacate the property by 10AM on their scheduled day of departure, the fee for failing to vacate is $100.00 for each half hour that the guest fails to vacate the property.

** This property has an outside security camera facing the front door/main entrance.

"Great stay! The approach to the chalet is a bit tricky while coming from Gatlinburg downtown, but there are 2-3 routes you can take so make sure to check the route alternatives before reaching the chalet. The one we took initially was very steep with a lot of turns, the others were pretty decent to navigate with lesser turns and far less gradient. The driveway is of course steep and you’ll get used to it in 1-2 times you go up and down. Uber is affordable to and from downtown at about $10. Cabin itself was great with all the amenities listed - very cozy and enjoyable! The kitchen is equipped with all appliances but no consumable supplies are provided so make sure you carry yours.

"This was our 2nd time staying with the hosts Jen and Mike but in a different cabin this time, the space was beautiful just as described in the photos and decorated for the season! We had everything we needed in the kitchen to make our Thanksgiving dinner! It was an easy check in and directions to the cabin! Great communication, we would definitely stay again!!

"Great Cabin in a Perfect Location! We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was great and made getting around Gatlinburg super easy. On our very first night, we even saw 3 bears right outside the cabin, which was such an amazing and unexpected experience! The cabin had some really nice touches- especially the sauna and hot tub, which made the stay extra relaxing. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable getaway. We would definitely stay here again!

"Stayed here for our anniversary and we were very pleased with our stay! It exceeded our expectations. The hosts were very responsive and helpful with check in and check out. They were very nice about everything! Upon arrival, the driveway is steep but it wasn't something we couldn't navigate. Checking in was very easy and right away the place smelled clean and looked like the cleaners had left moments before we arrived because the floors were still a little wet from being mopped. Yes, the space looks just like the photos and it's very cozy. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the water pressure in the bathroom was so great! My husband loved how strong it was. We didn't get to use all of the amenities they had in there, but I did use the hot tub which was very nice and clean! Overall, the place was very nice and it was very close to the Gatlinburg strip. We would definitely come back!

"Perfect location 2 minutes to Ober Mountain and less than 10 to the Gatlinburg strip. The cabin is a peaceful oasis with everything you'll need for relaxing, cooking and sleeping. We especially loved our evenings on the deck in the hot tub after long days hiking and sightseeing. It is so nice and quiet in the neighborhood!

"They were amazing it was exactly as their listing said and showed!! Tons of wildlife viewing while enjoying the hot tub on the private deck! Far enough away from traffic in downtown but only a few minutes drive to go downtown! Anytime I had a question they were fast to respond in less than 20 minutes! We are already planning our next stay and will be choosing to stay with them on all of our future trips to Gatlinburg!!!

"We had a great stay overall! The cabin was in an awesome location—close to everything but still felt tucked away in nature. We saw several bears during our visit (including one that climbed up onto the balcony!), which made for quite the experience. The cabin had everything we needed and was very clean, though we did notice a few cobwebs here and there. The only downside was the Wi-Fi, which was pretty spotty throughout our stay. Still, it was a pleasant and memorable trip, and we’d definitely come back for the location alone.

"The place was perfect for our family of four! The location was perfectly situated for day trips into Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Our boys (ages 11 and 7) really enjoyed the jacuzzi and bumper pool and they love a good pull out couch! "We loved this chalet! It was clean and cozy and fully equipped with everything we needed. Keep an eye out for black bears, which were roaming around our neighbors' cabins. The location was great because it felt private but also had great access to the town and the park. The driveway is a little difficult to maneuver at first, but you'll get the hang of it!

"After spending the previous week tent camping in NC, this cabin was the PERFECT way to relax and rejuvenate. The hot tub and sauna were wonderful. The cabin was easy to check into, the hosts sent recommendations. It was <10 minutes to both Gatlinburg and GSMNP. Great stay.

"The cabin is very private and surrounded by woods, but also only a 10-minute drive to Gatlinburg downtown. It has all the amenities you need for a getaway - sauna, hot tub, fire pit, etc. Jen and Mike are very friendly and responsive. Highly recommend this cabin.
